Solar education for primary schools

Every day, we hear about crises, disasters, and an uncertain future. It’s no wonder that almost half of young people are worried about climate change and the future. Many feel demotivated, some even helpless.

But this is exactly where we come in.

Solar Education wants to show pupils: you can take your energy future into your own hands. You are not powerless. On the contrary. Together, we turn anxiety into confidence, doubt into drive, and helplessness into courage.

Because the future belongs to you. And you have everything it takes to shape it.

Since 2021, we have been working to bring education for sustainable development into schools. With a team of 30 university students, numerous volunteers, and a scientific advisory board including figures such as Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch, we have created impactful educational resources: 7 high-quality teaching aids, over 100 lesson hours, available in 3 languages.

Thanks to our supporters, we have made these achievements possible: over 200 partner schools with 10,000 pupils across 4 countries: Germany, Austria, England, and Ireland.

For this work, Solar Education received the 2025/26 National Award for Education for Sustainable Development from the German UNESCO Commission and the Federal Ministry of Education.
