The programme is delivered by OpenmindProjects, which has developed a proven Active Learning Camp model focused on experiential, project-based learning.
Each replication supports around 60 youth participants going through the program. This includes training delivery, digital tools, facilitation, and onboarding to the OpenSkills platform.
Participants develop 5–10 project prototypes addressing local challenges such as environmental issues, civic technology, or small business support.
Expected outcomes include:
• 36% improvement in English proficiency
• Increased AI and digital literacy
• 72% of participants report improved career confidence
The OpenSkills platform ensures long-term engagement by allowing participants to maintain a live portfolio, connect with mentors, and continue developing their projects beyond the camp.
The model can be expanded through train-the-trainer approaches to build local capacity and long-term sustainability.
