Clinical Load Assessment and System Design

A Nirmaan engineer and a biomedical engineering liaison visit your hospital to map critical loads — OT equipment, labour room monitors, ICU ventilators, vaccine cold chain, and emergency lighting. They design a system that prioritises these circuits for solar and battery backup, ensuring that the most life-critical loads receive uninterrupted power first. The design includes automatic changeover under 10 milliseconds for OT and labour room circuits. The Medical Superintendent and facilities manager review and approve the full design before any procurement begins.

Install Battery Backup and Solar Array

Nirmaan's certified team installs the rooftop solar panels, the LFP battery bank, the inverter and changeover system, and all wiring to the priority circuits. Installation at this scale takes four to six days and requires coordination with hospital operations to minimise disruption to clinical services. The team commissions each critical circuit individually, running live tests to confirm sub-10ms changeover performance on the OT and labour room feeds. The facilities manager and biomedical engineering team witness commissioning and sign off on a full handover report.

Train Clinical and Community Stewards

Nirmaan delivers two parallel training sessions: one for the facilities team covering energy monitoring, battery health checks, and fault escalation; and one for patient advocacy group volunteers covering community awareness, monthly energy audit participation, and reporting to ChangeX.
