Time

It takes about 2~3 hours to proceed once. 'Earth Pick Up' is conducted for about 1 hour, and data organization and separation are conducted for 1 hour.

Get ready for 'Earth Pick Up'

You can do Earth Pick Up anywhere on the Busan beach where there is trash.

Recruit 10 or more family members, friends, colleagues, or community members and set a date to hold the Earth Talk together!

You can operate it at any time, such as before/after class, on weekends, etc. However, please avoid evenings when it is too dark as it may cause safety issues :)

Be safe for 'Earth Pick Up'

For a safe plogging experience, please prepare a plogging kit (tongs, gloves) and 10L garbage bags (2 per person).

For safety, use tongs to pick up trash, and when you can't use tongs to pick up trash, use your gloved hands to pick it up. When doing this, be careful not to cut or injure your hands if you use bare hands.

Prepare for Earth Day by checking the guidebook and checklist.

We are conducting 'Earth Pick Up'

We are starting the Busan Beach Cleanup Activity. Please do not clean up the roads or narrow alleys due to safety issues, so please do so on the sidewalks or sandy beaches where people walk. You will find many cigarette butts and cartridges around the beach.

Please note that it will be easier to sort out your trash later if you separate cigarette butts, cartridges, recyclables, and general trash into separate garbage bags.

Identify and organize the trash you pick up.

Find out how many cigarette butts and cartridges you picked up today. Record this and take the time to share the data with other participants.

Wash your hands and 'Earth Pick Up' products thoroughly

Once you have completed your data analysis, go to a nearby restroom and wash your hands and dry them with a small towel.

After arriving home, clean the tongs and gloves and use them for the next 'Earth Pick Up' activity.

After working out at the beach and getting hit by the strong wind and sweating, I finish by taking a shower to wash my body clean.
