More information on how to get started and any resources shared by the Upskilling Community Forest Managers
We conducted forest inventories, collected data on biodiversity to determine what forestry resources we have and developed our community forest management plan accordingly. Based on our inventories, we found that animals like mouse deer, barking deer, porcupines and pangolins have disappeared. This is likely due to hunting and an imbalance in the food sources within the ecosystem, causing these animals to move elsewhere to find food. If we can restore our forest to a healthy state, these animals might return to their original habitat. However, we need to establish rules and regulations for forest management and foraging.
