Transform your farm into a certified pollinator haven that supports bee health whilst gaining consumer recognition and competitive advantage through sustainable farming practices.
The Bee Friendly Farming programme was developed by Pollinator Partnership, a leading organisation dedicated to protecting pollinators and their ecosystems. Currently, 750 farms worldwide hold certification, with a goal of reaching 2,000 members within two years.
Certified farms benefit from increased consumer recognition, as products can display the BFF logo indicating they're produced on pollinator-supporting land. The programme provides marketing materials including signs, stickers, and bookmarks to promote bee-friendly efforts.
Research shows that sustainable farming practices supporting pollinators create win-win scenarios for agriculture and ecosystems. Commercial beekeepers particularly benefit from bee-friendly plantings on fallow lands, reducing the need to transport hives long distances for pasture.
The annual £35 certification fee supports cost-share efforts helping growers plant additional bee forage. Ecoregional guides provide location-specific advice on native pollinators and suitable plants, making implementation straightforward regardless of farm location or climate.
