Technovation Girls empowers girls and gender-diverse youth to solve community problems through technology and entrepreneurship, building real apps with global impact.
Technovation Girls is a program by Technovation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young people—especially girls—to become leaders and problem-solvers using technology. Since its launch in 2006, over 400,000 girls from 160+ countries have participated.
In 2024, over 3,200 teams submitted projects addressing pressing issues in climate, equity, health, and education. 87% of participants say the program influenced their future education and career paths, and 76% of alumni pursue STEM degrees.
Projects are judged across regional and global rounds, with opportunities to win scholarships and recognition. Technovation provides specialized curricula for Beginner, Junior, and Senior age divisions and encourages participation through clubs, schools, and community organizations.
The initiative also builds a network of mentors, educators, and alumnae who support and expand access worldwide. Learn more about impact and opportunities on the Technovation Girls website (https://technovationchallenge.org/).
