Team Programme Malaysia was launched in 2020 and has already supported more than 500 young beneficiaries through its development programmes.
The initiative focuses on youth empowerment through structured capacity‑building and real‑world experiences. Participants complete a nine‑week programme that emphasises teamwork, communication, leadership, and community engagement.
The programme measures impact through clear outcomes. Target metrics include:
• 90% programme completion rate
• 75% increase in participant self‑confidence
• 75% improvement in communication skills
• Delivery of at least two community projects per cohort
After completing the core programme, selected participants enter a six‑month post‑progression phase. This stage focuses on sustaining progress and strengthening economic independence, particularly for participants who start home‑based micro‑enterprises.
Post‑progression support includes mentoring, targeted business workshops, product development support, and marketing guidance. Each replication may support 5–10 micro‑entrepreneurs and strengthen at least two small businesses through training and mentorship.
The programme is delivered by youth‑focused organisations such as Selangor Youth Community.
