This challenge differs from others on ChangeX because you’re joining and growing a community instead of starting one. Of course, we encourage you to do this with a team or at least a friend by telling them about how to apply, it’s not a required part of the challenge.

. It's free! This will give you a good idea of the style and engaging format of SubSchool courses. Once you're on the platform, you'll also be able to preview our other 10 courses - including: Classroom Management (a 4-course series), Facilitating Instruction (4-course series), Trauma Informed Teaching, and Supporting Students with Disabilities. You can register at www.subschool.org 

Research the requirements to become a substitute teacher in your community. For example, do you need to apply for a permit at the state, district, or school level? Here is a guide to help you consider how to get your permit and decide where you’ll want to sub. Already a sub?  Consider this step done!

As soon as you’ve received your funding, you can use this link to purchase your SubSchool membership. If you would rather join now and use ChangeX funding as reimbursement, that’s okay too! Your membership will provide access to the entire SubSchool community and learning platform.
