My Mini Growing Space

My Mini Growing Space

Create your own 'mini' woodland & edible teaching garden! For schools, churches, libraries, communities centres and groups!

We’re excited to help your community transform even the smallest outdoor space into a woodland, edible teaching garden or a combination of both, benefiting young children, families and the wider community.
No space is too small. We’ll help you optimise your area creatively to make the most of what you have.

To ensure success:
• Start all 5 steps promptly
• Stay in regular contact with us
• Complete all required forms, as missing information may result in your application being rejected, even if you’ve made good progress

Projects led by committed and enthusiastic groups can complete their garden within approximately two months. And because we design gardens to work all year round, you can start at any time of the year, not just in spring or summer.

How We Support You
We provide tailored and hands-on guidance throughout the process, helping you:
• Achieve sustainability goals and connect with curriculum learning
• Build a strong and manageable garden structure
• Plan based on the season, age group, culture and local needs
• Prioritise tasks efficiently to save time and energy
• Create a practical space that grows with your community

We’ve supported many groups like yours, so you don’t have to start from scratch. Your children will get their hands dirty, take pride in their work and feel a strong sense of ownership.

Ready to grow? Let’s get started.

How to get involved

Time: Plan for 2–5 hours per week, depending on the project stage. Have one lead person and at least four supporters to share the workload and keep things moving. It’s easy to lose momentum, but our 8-week programme includes support and accountability to help you stay on track.
