A grassroots career-readiness programme equipping young people aged 18–25 with practical AI, digital, and workplace skills, followed by structured pathways to internships, gigs, and entry-level jobs through a global partner network.
This initiative was developed by 1 Million for 1 Billion (1M1B), a global youth skilling movement that has trained over 700,000 young people on AI and job readiness in the past six years. 1M1B works with leading technology and professional services companies to create pathways from learning to employment.
The programme addresses a critical challenge: whilst AI is transforming the job market, most young people—especially from underserved backgrounds—lack access to AI education or connections to technology careers. The AI Career Launchpad bridges this gap by making cutting-edge skills training accessible at the grassroots level.
Success is measured through training completion rates, digital and AI readiness improvements (70–80% of participants demonstrate measurable gains), and employment outcomes, with at least 100 youth per cohort connected to internships, gigs, or entry-level opportunities.
